Katie Stewart
BHMS, ESSAM, AEP
Director and Co-Founder

Katie has over 19 years of experience as an Exercise Physiologist and exercise specialist. Over that time she has created two successful and innovative exercise and lifestyle businesses in Sydney at Fox Studios and The Beach Lifestyle Club in Perth. She has worked with high performing individuals delivering mental and physical performance optimisation.

More recently she has directed her focus towards chronic mental and physical illness and injury prevention research and services. The first research paper is due for publication in the National Mental Health Commission-founded, inaugural Equally Well publication.

Katie is a passionate and dedicated advocate for combined mental & physical primary health services for chronic disease. Outside of work Katie enjoys sharing time with her four children in their school and sporting lives and is passionately involved in the annual Hawaiian Ride for Youth – Raising awareness and funds for Youth Focus suicide prevention.

Naruhiro “Geish” Hori
PhD (Ex. BioMed. HlthSc.)
Strength & Conditioning Coach
and Remedial Masseuse

Geish completed his PhD in Exercise, Biomedical, and Health Sciences from Edith Cowan University in 2007 and his training in Relaxation Massage and Deep Tissue Massage through Discover Massage Australia in 2024. He is passionate about supporting athletes in a multifaceted way across sports science and sports medicine.

Before joining The Exercise Therapist, Geish was a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) from 2005 to 2021, where he planned and implemented strength and conditioning programs for international, national, and developmental athletes in various Olympic, Paralympic, and Commonwealth Games sports.

Outside the clinic, he holds a dual role as a sports science assistant and trainer at Swan Districts Football Club.

Brendan Vorster 
BSc (Ex Science & Rehabilitation), AEP, AES, ESSAM
Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Brendan Vorster is an Exercise Physiologist at CCA working with patients across the Care Clinic, Aged Care Programs and Community Programs. Brendan graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation from Edith Cowan University in 2023. Brendan's special clinical interests are exercise as medicine for chronic, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions, and strength and conditioning.

Lisa Rowley 
BA, BBus (Mktg)
Co-Founder

Lisa completed her university education in Western Australia with a business degree in Marketing and an Arts degree in Asian studies. During the 80’s and 90’s Lisa found herself in Sydney, London, New York and San Francisco working for the global IT company, Oracle. She returned to Perth in 2000 with her family and started up her own business as a professional organiser - Organised Living Pty Ltd. 

In 2016 Lisa co-founded The Exercise Therapist. She has worked to develop this company as a leading and internationally recognised Allied Health Clinic in Western Australia. In 2020, the company was re-branded - Chronic Care Australia Pty Ltd (CCA). 

In addition to her work at CCA, Lisa is a Director for her Family’s Philanthropic Foundation – The Rowley Foundation. The Rowley Foundation was established in 2010 by Lisa’s father – Graeme Rowley as an avenue to give back to the community of Western Australia. 

Sue Watson 
Chartered Accountant
Finance Manager

Sue is a chartered accountant with over 25 years experience. She has worked as a business advisor with a variety of clients during her time in professional practice. For five years Sue was the Financial Accountant for Bankwest and produced the majority of their financial reports for the short time they were listed on the ASX. 

Sue has had a mix of voluntary roles including treasurer of the Women's’ Sports Foundation of WA, committee member and treasurer of her children’s local primary school P&C, and manager of a number of children’s sporting teams. Sue has recently been elected as a general committee member on the board of Floorball WA.

During the winter Sue’s demeanour ebbs and flows with the results of the Fremantle Dockers.
